More Painted Buttons & Booklets

Just received another order for my address, planners and journal booklets. Love designing these with fabric, threads and vintage trims and ribbons. All have hand painted buttons. Love painting the detail in these miniature, very tiny faces, so much fun. A nice break in between the Cool Classic Ride series. The smaller journal booklet below on the right measures 4 x 6. Perfect for travel!

Pretty Lil’ Addy booklets 5.5 X 8.5. While teaching a “Painted fabrics from stepping stones” workshop recently, I wanted to get the girls thoughts on these adorable Addy booklets that I have been working on. Long story short, I have about 8 or so in stock that I will be selling at the Tustin Art Walk this Saturday…Hope to see you there, be sure to stop by and say hello to Deborah Stanley and I as we have side by side booths together.

Vintage Milk Truck #20

Remember the milk and the Helms trucks, I do!  This is #20.  Classic Cool Rides continues to grow with #20. Our neighbors own the Rockview Farms Dairy here in Santa Ana, so I couldn’t resist with the logo. I had taken a pic a few weeks back of a vintage milk truck and thought it would fit in with the other classics. Collection and travel dates are growing. Far from finished. Enjoy a snippet of this cool ride!

“Carmen”

One of the toughest things I’ve ever done in my 54 years was to give my mother’s eulogy to a crowd of wonderful people who came to show their respect and love for her. Bill, my brother gave his heartfelt thoughts first. I followed shortly after him. I had called for my two beautiful sisters to join me.

“Carmen” was the final piece that she was able to enjoy and point out the improvements during the transition from start to finish. I remember thinking while I was giving her eulogy, that I never wanted to lose that very special feeling that I had for her, of course I never will. She will always be in my heart. My words that I chose for the service were written on a piece of paper. The words are also written on the back of “Carmen”

Much Love, “Carmen”2004   (Crystals from mom’s collection)

Currently on display at Soft Expressions Upstairs Gallery, Exhibit continues through August 31st. 1230 N. Jefferson St. #M, Anaheim, Ca.92807  (714) 630-7414
