Who needs a ride?  You just know that this sweet cool classic was going to be included in the 2016 fleet!  A very shabby chic 1957 Convertible Chevy.  Just a few left to work through, adding those finishing touches to make sure each “Ride” pops.  A huge thanks going out to Mancuso Quiltfest Shows,  amazing Valdani Threads and to my awesome curator Deborah Stanley.  So very thankful to each of you.  First show kicks off at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, Virginia.  Be sure to check the full 2016 schedule via Mancuso Quiltfest Shows.  Looking forward to seeing you and talkin the car chatter in Virginia!  Lovin these “Cool Classic Rides 2”   #videocomingsoonfinishingup

Artsy note:  It’s not unusual for me to mark up my hands with color. Always on the prowl for the perfect hue! Works for thread shades as well as markers.

Simply a blast! Great art walk, wonderful peeps and lot’s of car chatter. You have many opportunities to talk about what you do! Great peeps including local councilmen, business owners, musician’s, Interior designers, etc….Great sales, music and eats! See you next year!  The photo is my beginning stages of set-up, starting at 8:00am.  I often will use my vintage trunks and cool wooden boxes for displays. The other is me with my incredible amazing hubby–  He is a great help and is always eager to stroll the quaint streets wearing his promo t-shirt for the new collection in 2016! Here is my Lil’ 12×12 included in the auction “Cool Daze Ahead” Thrilled that this sweet ride is part of a special section accompanying the International Quilt Festival in Houston.  Be sure to stop by the SAQA booth. A much larger “Bug” will debut alongside 23 very “Cool Classic Rides” at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival February 25-28, 2016. I’ll be there-Hope to see you too!  Stay tuned….

It’s not always about the “Cars”!  Cool bikes in the collection too.  “Cool Classic Rides 2″ coming in 2016.  A 24 piece very cool collection which will debut at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival, February 25-28, 2016.  I’ll be there! All 24 are completed, well at least to the first stage. The most difficult part was deciding which “Rides” to include in the mix. I continually think of more that would have been perfect. It’s all about those details or finishing touches, you need those cool classic logos like Ford, Mustang, etc. along with those quirky fine details including windshield wiper’s, steering wheels, shading etc. You get what I’m sayin!
